The Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP) lets a participating Alberta municipality pay for your solar system and add the cost to your property tax bill. It can cover up to 100% of the project, so there is no upfront payment, and you repay it over up to 20 years (25 in some municipalities). If you sell, the balance stays with the home.
