Add in trying to navigate Government financing, trying to understand what you are being offered, then weighing the entire investment against the future of energy - it's overwhelming. We looked at six other companies in our area, we compared proposals, we spoke with friends that had gone through the process, we went to an expert in BC to better understand the technology.We chose Xolar. The sales process stood out. We had the chance to work with Abe who wasn't just a sales rep - more so a sales technician of sorts. In that he understood where we were coming from as potential customers and our needs, but he also knew how to speak about the technology, the science, the investment. Can't speak highly enough about Abe.The project management process stood out. We worked with Chris who was able to not only see the entire project from A-Z, but also did so in an incredibly tight timeline. We had to work with our line of credit in order to access the Greener Homes Loan and when I brought this up with Chris, he instantly saw our concerns about interest and pushed his team to really deliver. The result - cost savings and a system on our roof in time for the summer months. His direct and professional manner made this an easier process from the get go. Truly felt like we had a representative internally throughout the process.We dealt with the engineer Can. Clearly they have a team of sophisticated professionals in the background. He was able to navigate all of the initial set up remotely.We dealt with Vlad and the incredible installation team. An absolute pleasure - courteous, tardy, super fast. They started mid-day and were on our roof with headlamps until the end of the night. 28 panels up and running.I don't really leave Google reviews. But this is well deserved and I'm glad we made this investment with the right team.”

“Installation complete. We were happy with the services and installation team's work.They provided a great "timelines diagram" walking us through the various steps of the process which was helpful. I would recommend doing regular follow ups by email or phone to ensure you have all the forms and applications covered. For a couple of the forms it was unclear whether we submitted them to hydro/township ourselves, instead they ended up doing it for us.I would recommend asking for clarity during that stage, in addition I would suggest asking lots of questions during the on-site visit.Install team cleaned up the site well after they finished, only item missing from the original equipment delivery was the rails but the install team was able to bring those supplies themselves.Last item be sure to consider the shape of your roof, we have split level home and it merges into triangle peaks instead of a wide rectangular shape which restricted the placement of the panels (see photo).”

“Our experience using Xolar has been first rate. David offered a low pressure sales experience, Chris was helpful in getting all the paperwork and permits together for us and Miranda made sure that we were satisfied with the installation.I have had our 22 panels on the roof for 7 months now. They have gone through winter, which included a wind storm and ice storm and they are still working as we expected. Vlad and his team did a great job in installing the panels and inverter unit. “Had a virtual meeting with Vivek Prashad today regarding the solar project. I felt comfortable taking with him and confident that he was being honest with me. He present me with a couple of options and did not try to upsell me. He told me like it was and that the lesser option would work for me and did not try to sell me pie in the sky options. However, I felt confident enough that i feel the sized up option would be a more an option that I might likely consider. I asked a number of questions of Vivek and he was able to answer them and again, I felt comfortable with his responses, and not just trying to make a sales pitch to me. Sound like a doable project for me. I have a sense of good feeling with this company.You know, after having posted my original review, I looked at some other reviews, I took particular notice of one posted by Gxex XXX. I want to share this. Many, many, many years ago, I was in the contracting business of paving (driveways and parking lots) My experience in that business taught me that there were a number of individuals that would try to imply problems or deficiencies upon completion of the work, in order (i Believe) to get a reduction in the dollars of the actual contracted amount. In most every case, it was the very well to do client that balked the most. the regular joe bloke never complained. Just paid the money on completion of the job. Those who could well afford it, would most likely be the ones who would complain, find fault and would want a financial compensation for their inconvenience. all I am saying, I have had experience with these people and It appears that Xolar will try and make it right, if you give them the chance. I have a good feeling. Just saying.”

I realize nobody has done any site inspections yet but this is a substantial difference in price.”

I did notwant to sign an agreement until a face-to-face site visit could be organized - this will take place shortly and the site visit fee has been filled and paid.This leaves us more comfortable”

“We were, overall, delighted with the solar panel solution from Xolar. The process, from first consultation, to operation and receiving the Greener Homes Loan took almost exactly 6 months, which we were very happy with given we started to process in December.We were quite concerned about the look of the panels as our South facing roof faces the street and we live in a neighbourhood with a lot of nice homes. But we were really delighted with how they look - they just blend in nicely with the roof and many of friends have said they hardly noticed them. They also present a modern appearance.As you can see, the panels are only over the garage but that is estimated to be sufficient to cover around 90% of our hydro use, and we use only electricity, with geothermal heating and cooling, and have an electric car. So far, the hydro generation matches the estimates provided by Xolar.The initial presentation of the solution, by Chris Isidori, was very thorough, and he was available to answer all of my questions. The Xolar website is also excellent and there are many customer solutions listed there to read about, and speak to their experience. The installation team were a joy to work with - they arrived on time, were extremely pleasant, completed the entire install in less than 2 days, and cleaned up very well at the end.Overall, the solution exceeded our expectations and we are very much enjoying making a contribution to the energy grid while saving money in the long term. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Xolar if you are considering installing a solar array on your home.”

“I had my solar system installed by Xolar and I’m extremely satisfied with both the hardware and the overall setup. The system delivers immediate savings on my Hydro bill and is performing better than I expected, even under winter conditions. The hardware layout is clean, thoughtfully designed, and integrates seamlessly with my existing electrical system.The project timeline was solid: I placed my order in August, the installation took place over the winter, and everything was fully completed by April, including all permits and approvals from the city. The only hiccup in the entire process was a hardware shortage during the ordering phase, which required me to follow up a few times. “Hired Xolar to install Trina solar panels with Tigo inverters and SMA inverter back in 2022 given that they offered the best return on investment based on all the quotes I had received.After a full month of solar production, very happy to see the system is working as expected. My first Toronto Hydro bill with this net meter arrangement was a credit of 41.31 (all fees included!). Like any project, there were some hiccups along the way, but the team at Xolar resolved all of them to our satisfaction. Looking forward to seeing how the system performs over the next 25-30 years!”
