0:00so my name is Paul Santos I live in vau Ontario and I decided to go with

0:06solar uh I think something I've always wanted to do for some time and once I

0:12moved to my current home um and saw how prices were going up in electricity I

0:20figured this would be a good time to investigate and uh see what's out there yeah they kind of explained what would be involved with the permits the

0:29estimated time frame that it would take to do the entire installation um so I was I was comfortable with that having evaluated

0:37several companies uh I I was comfortable with solar's um choice of Hardware uh the

0:46fact that it uh provided a lot more wattage than some of the other solutions that I was looking at and uh the fact

0:54that I can uh tie it in and monitor it uh with some uh some tools tools that I would use you know sometimes uh plays a

1:03factor into you know am I going to charge my car that day am I going to run the hot tub you know try to kind of offset those things based on uh

1:12production even though I only got my system installed Late July uh what I was able to produce in the summer months

1:21actually lasted me until December so I'm hoping this year having usage of the system for the entire year that I'll be

1:29at a um zero uh net uh usage from an electricity perspective what I would be normally

1:37paying into for electricity I'm just kind of paying for my system I know that in a few years it'll be paid for and uh

1:44it'll be you know free Power I guess after that after that time uh I've been

1:51really satisfied I uh haven't had any problems uh since it was installed last year and they've just been doing what

2:00they're supposed to do uh producing power for me and uh helping the environment but knowing that I was going

2:08to be able to take advantage of uh an interest free loan for 10 years to me was the um the part that really sealed

2:16the deal for me what I would normally pay as a utility bill now I just pay it towards my interest free loan uh and

2:24after this period of time I can know that the system is mine and um I'm generating free Power at that point uh

2:31yeah it's pretty much maintenance-free it just works uh the only thing I do is Monitor it and uh make sure that uh

2:39everything is uh working the way it should so I'm right now I'm just looking at uh this year's uh usage so even

2:46though we're in uh just end of February now um not having a lot of sun produced in January February was a better month

2:54but so far this year I'm about 50/50 roughly uh being able to produce what I what I've been consuming I would

3:01definitely recommend um going solar especially if you're planning to be uh living in the same home for a few years

3:10and uh because it does take a few years to recoup the costs even though it's a cloudy day today right now we're still producing just under a kilowatt of of

3:19power which is only offsetting about half of what I'm using my open one day is that um when I'm looking to sell my

3:26home that it increases the value and and the fact that whoever will be purchasing my home wouldn't have to worry about

3:34power and electricity as a as another bill um would see that as a benefit and uh help with the sale of the home one

3:42day and yeah it's it just helps uh uh your your own personal finances and the

3:49environmental aspect as
