Android or iPhone with internet + Bluetooth capability to install Tigo EI app & laptop to configure system layout

Step 1

CREATE TIGO ACCOUNT

To begin, create a user account for Tigo. With Bluetooth enabled, head to the location of your Tigo CCA box. In the Tigo app, go to ‘Configure Communication Settings.’ Choose ‘Scan for Nearby CCA’ and connect. Then, in ‘WiFi Settings,’ find your home network, enter the password, and voila. Once online, update the firmware (duration varies with internet speed). If the connection drops during the update, restart, or contact Tigo tech support. If your CCA kit can’t find your home network, consider a WiFi extender or a wired connection

STEP 2

CREATE SITE

Simply tap the ‘+’ button at the top to initiate a new system in Tigo, input your details, and create site

STEP 3

CONFIGURE COMMUNICATION

With Bluetooth enabled, head to the location of your Tigo CCA box. In the Tigo app, go to ‘Configure Communication Settings.’ Choose ‘Scan for Nearby CCA’ and connect. STEP 4

CONFIGURE EQUIPMENT

Now that your Tigo installation is connected and communicating with the home internet network, it’s time to configure the equipment used
by clicking “add equipment”, ensuring accurate inverter and PV module specifications.
you will need to accurately add the # of inverters # of MPPT’s per inverter, # of panels per MTPPT

STEP 5

CONFIGURE PANEL LAYOUT

Use the layout editor tool on your laptop to map out the physical installation of each solar panel, ensuring accurate representation. This step is crucial for future system troubleshooting, aligning virtual locations with their real-life counterparts. Once panels are mapped, proceed to assign optimizer serial codes to each panel. Careful attention is essential to avoid errors, as monitoring data for each optimizer is linked to its corresponding panel

STEP 6

FINALIZE AND SAVE

Once you have thoroughly reviewed the setup, proceed to finalize the information. Confirm that all settings align with your solar system’s requirements and specifications. This step is essential to guarantee optimal performance and streamline future troubleshooting if necessary.
